Post a Letter to Santa at Rosewood Hotel Georgia, Dec. 2

As you probably know, Santa Claus is comin’ to town Sunday, December 2, for Vancouver’s 9th annual Rogers Santa Claus Parade. It gets better. On the same day, Rosewood Hotel Georgia celebrates its Heritage Day and wants parade-goers to make the hotel their base during the parade festivities.

The historic Rosewood Hotel Georgia is situated in the heart of downtown Vancouver on the parade route. Visit pre-parade and revel in carol singers, live piano music and complementary hot chocolate or warm apple cider, alongside a forest of twinkling Christmas trees, gingerbread houses and festive flower displays.

As for the kiddos, they get to relive the magic of Miracle on 34th Street – the 1947 version or the 1994 remake – take your pick –  and post letters to the North Pole via the hotel’s original bronze letterbox, a historic feature from when the property first opened in 1927.

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. The big man himself will make a surprise appearance at Rosewood Hotel Georgia at some point during the Heritage Day celebrations. But that’s no biggie for Rosewood. Over the last 85 years the hotel has played host to Marlene Dietrich, HRH Edward, Prince of Wales, John Wayne, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Elvis…

The Rogers Santa Claus Parade will start at West Georgia Street and Broughton (at 1:00 pm), travel east along West Georgia, turn south on Howe and finish at Howe and Davie.
